Navjot Singh Sidhu Returns As PCC Chief, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi Meets Amarinder Singh

Chandigarh – There’s no end to Congress Punjab drama. Navjot Singh Sidhu will continue as Punjab Congress chief. AICC General Secretary Harish Rawat said after an intense meeting with the cricketer turned politician at the party headquarters in the state on Thursday. The meeting also attended by Congress veteran KC Venugopal came after Sidhu last posted his resignation on Twitter.

Apparently miffed with the appointments and Cabinet reshuffle under cabinet Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Navjot Singh Sidhu has clearly stated that the decision of the Congress president will be accepted by him. The instructions are clear that he should work as Punjab Congress president and set up the organizational structure and an announcement will be made tomorrow said Rawat after the meeting.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday, met his president, Captain Amarinder Singh at the farmhouse in Mohali. The meeting comes at a time when the Congress central leadership met Navjot Singh Sidhu in Delhi to convince him to reconsider his decision of resigning from the Punjab Congress post.

However, after the meeting, the AICC General Secretary Harish Rawat said Sidhu will continue as Punjab Congress chief. In the past 24 hours, a lot has happened in Punjab. Navjot Singh Sidhu is back as the PCC chief.
