Nigeria and Morocco Signed a Gas Pipeline Agreement

The news of Nigeria and Morocco signing a gas pipeline agreement just came out in the media. A proposal for a gas pipeline between the two countries which was due for so long has finally been signed. The possibility of a new energy supply route for West Africa and Europe is finally resolved.
Now, according to Moroccan officials, the natural gas pipeline serves 13 African countries, the 6000 kilometers of the pipeline will cross the African countries along the Atlantic coast and supply the Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali.
Nigeria and Morocco signed a deal to set up a gas pipeline worth $25 billion. The proposed 5600 Kilometer pipeline will link Nigeria and Morocco opening a possibility for a new energy supply path from West Africa to Europe.
All the West African countries are supporting this project. And of course, there’s abundant gas in Nigeria. President Muhammadu Buhari particularly is very clearly very supportive of this.
He said that their government is clearly behind this, as also the government of Morocco and they believe that this project will be delivered on schedule, and ultimately provide opportunities for all their countries.
According to reports, the pipeline would be an extension of the existing West African gas pipeline, which runs from Nigeria, Benin, Togo, and Ghana, the project will cross 13 African countries along the Atlantic coast and supply the landlocked states of Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Mali.
It is expected to bring over 5000 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Morocco. From there, it will be connected directly to the Maghreb. Experts, however, are divided over the strategic importance of the project.
The gas pipeline project is actually something that is strategic. It’s a very big project. That’s why they talk about transnational gas pipelines. So the Nigerian Morocco gas pipeline project is somewhere around 7000 kilometers.
Environmental assayed the project should focus on the betterment of the people of the region. It is not about Nigeria when they discuss oil and gas. And they discussed the devastation you cannot discuss it without discussing the devastation.

Others have described it as a vector of hope for over 414 million Africans from Lagos, Nigeria, Louisa Alani, they are on board as one.
