Gino was born on September 7, 1970, in Maniwaki, Quebec, Canada. He was a retired ice hockey player who played as a left winger in the National Hockey League from 1990 to 2002. Gino started playing hockey at a very young age and joined an organized team that was managed by his dad Joe. Gino played his first professional tournament in 1983 for the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament.
