Secret Invasion Episode 6 Spoilers: The Finale That Shook the MCU

Secret Invasion Episode 6 Spoilers:- The sixth and final episode of Marvel’s Secret Invasion, the latest Disney+ series based on the popular comic book storyline, aired on July 26, 2023, and it delivered a thrilling conclusion that changed the status quo of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The episode featured a showdown between Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), and their allies, and Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir), the leader of a splinter group of Skrull extremists who wanted to make Earth their new home. The episode also revealed the fate of G’iah (Emilia Clarke), Talos’ daughter who was secretly working with Gravik, and the implications of her actions for the future of the Skrull-Kree war. Here are some of the highlights and spoilers from the episode:
The Harvest
The episode began with a flashback to the Battle of Earth in Avengers: Endgame, where Gravik and his followers infiltrated the battlefield and collected samples of DNA from some of the most powerful heroes in the MCU, such as Captain Marvel, Thor, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther, and Spider-Man. Gravik called this collection “the Harvest”, and he planned to use it to create a Super-Skrull army that could conquer any planet they desired.
The Betrayal
In the present day, Fury and Talos tracked down Gravik to his secret base in New Skrullos, a hidden city built by the Skrulls in Nevada. They confronted him and demanded that he stop his plan to launch a nuclear strike on Russia, which would trigger World War III and wipe out millions of lives. Gravik revealed that he had already activated the launch codes, and that only he could stop them. He offered Fury a deal: he would call off the strike if Fury gave him “the Harvest”, which Fury had stolen from him in a previous encounter. Fury agreed, but it turned out to be a trap: Fury was actually G’iah in disguise, using her shape-shifting abilities to fool Gravik. She had switched sides after learning that her father Talos had lied to her about their mission on Earth, and that he had betrayed their people by working with Fury and the humans.
Secret Invasion Episode 6 Spoilers- The Fight
G’iah injected herself with “the Harvest”, hoping to become a Super-Skrull with all the powers of the heroes she admired. However, she soon realized that she had made a mistake: instead of gaining their abilities, she became unstable and uncontrollable, as her body could not handle the genetic overload. She attacked Gravik, who tried to fight back with his own Super-Skrull powers, which he had acquired from another batch of “the Harvest”. Meanwhile, Fury (the real one) and Talos arrived at the scene, along with Sonya Falsworth (Olivia Colman), a former MI6 agent who had been helping them. They joined forces to stop Gravik and G’iah from destroying New Skrullos and killing everyone in it.

The End
After a fierce battle, G’iah managed to overpower Gravik and kill him with a massive energy blast through his chest. She then collapsed on the ground, dying from her own power surge. Fury and Talos rushed to her side, hoping to save her. G’iah apologized to her father for betraying him, and told him that she loved him. She also asked Fury to forgive her for what she had done. Fury told her that he understood why she did it, and that he was proud of her for being brave enough to stand up for what she believed in. He also told her that he loved her too, as a friend and as a daughter. G’iah smiled and thanked them both, before passing away peacefully.
Secret Invasion Episode 6 Ending Explained
Fury and Talos managed to stop the nuclear strike by hacking into Gravik’s system and overriding his launch codes. They also freed all the humans who had been captured by Gravik and used as energy sources for his machine. Among them were Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and James Rhodes (Don Cheadle), who had been kidnapped by Gravik’s agents in previous episodes. They also found Jessica Drew (Hailee Steinfeld), aka Spider-Woman, who had been impersonated by Veranke (Gemma Chan), Gravik’s second-in-command and former Skrull princess. Veranke had been killed by Fury earlier in the episode, after she tried to assassinate President Ritson (John Goodman), who had been working with Fury and Talos to expose Gravik’s plot.

The Fallout
The episode ended with a series of scenes that showed the consequences of the Secret Invasion for the MCU. Some of them were:
- President Ritson announced to the world that Earth had been invaded by a rogue faction of Skrulls and that he had authorized an emergency bill that designated all off-world-born species as enemy combatants. He also declared that the US would lead a global coalition to hunt down and eliminate any remaining Skrulls on Earth, and to prevent any further alien threats. Fury criticized Ritson for his extreme and xenophobic response, calling it “real one-term president stuff”.
- Sonya Falsworth offered G’iah’s body to the Skrull refugees who had been living in New Skrullos and asked them to join her in forming a new alliance with the humans who supported them. She said that she would use her connections and resources to help them find a new home and to protect them from Ritson’s forces. She also said that she would honor G’iah’s memory by continuing her fight for peace and justice.
- Fury returned to the S.A.B.E.R. space station, where he had been operating as the director of a secret organization that monitored and defended Earth from extraterrestrial threats. He was greeted by Priscilla (Emily Blunt), aka Varra, his lover and partner, who was also a Skrull. He revealed that he had contacted the Kree, the sworn enemies of the Skrulls, and that they were open to peace talks with the Skrulls, thanks to Captain Marvel’s intervention. He asked Priscilla to come with him, as she was the best diplomat he had. He also said that they were better together and that he loved her as she was. Priscilla agreed, and they left for their mission.
The Future
The episode also set up some potential plot threads for future MCU projects. Some of them were:
- Spider-Woman’s introduction to the MCU, and her possible role in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home movie, where she could meet Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and other Spider-People from different universes.
- The Skrull-Kree war’s escalation, and its impact on the upcoming The Marvels movie, where Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) could team up to stop it.
- The emergence of Norman Osborn (Jake Gyllenhaal), the former Green Goblin, as a new villain in the MCU. He was revealed to be the one who supplied Gravik with the nuclear weapons, and he also stole some of “the Harvest” samples from Gravik’s base. He could use them to create his own Super-Skrull army, or to enhance himself and his allies, such as the Sinister Six.
- The formation of a new Avengers team, led by Fury and Talos, who could recruit some of the heroes who survived the Secret Invasion, such as War Machine, Spider-Woman, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Shuri (Letitia Wright), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany), Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac), Blade (Mahershala Ali), Ironheart (Dominique Thorne), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Eternals, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Iron Fist (Finn Jones), Punisher (Jon Bernthal), Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Inhumans, Runaways, Cloak & Dagger, Helstrom, WandaVision’s children Billy and Tommy Maximoff, Loki’s variants Sylvie Laufeydottir and Kid Loki Laufeyson.
