Kerala Reports Over 29K New Covid Cases, CM Pinarayi Vijayan To Take Decision On Lockdown

Thiruvananthapuram – Kerala on Saturday log 29,682 new COVID-19 cases along with 142 fatalities. The state witnessed a slight dip in the test positivity rate and was recorded at 17.54%. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan
said the current lockdowns on Sundays and night curfew would continue in the state but further decisions would be taken only after another evaluation meet on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the Philippines decided to welcome travelers from India and nine other countries including the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia from September 6, 2021. The Philippines has opened flights and is now allowing travelers from India. And is it the right is decision ahead of the third wave?

The Philippines and 9 other countries have now decided to welcome Indian travelers. Only a vaccination certificate and negative RTPCR report are required to show to enter these countries. EarlierEarlier, all other countries banned flights from India. But, now 50% population of India is vaccinated.

As a result, these countries are ready to withdraw the flight ban from India. But, the Covid cases in 2 states of India i.e. Kerala and Maharashtra are increasing day by day. These 2 states are under corona attack. The third wave of Corona is expecting in the upcoming days. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan had imposed Sunday lockdown and night curfew in the state to curb this Covid surge.

As you talk about Covid vaccination in India, it is going at a rapid rate. Earlier week, India was vaccinated at a record speed of 1 crores+ shot. India is coming closer to achieve herd immunity. 50% population is vaccinated in India. The Health Minister of India assured that 100% population of India will get vaccinated before December 2021.
