Pala was serving as an in-charge at Srivari Bokkasam the vault of Tirumala temple. In 2005, 310 gold coins which are also called dollars were missing. In 2007, a controversy broke out that Seshadri was responsible for the disappearance of gold coins from Bokkasamy. That’s why he was called Dollar Seshadri.

Dollar died at the age of 74 years old (as of 2021). He died on 29 November 2021. He passed away around 4 am on Monday. According to the reports, he was in Visakhapatnam participating in Karthika Deepotsavam which was organized by TTD at Ramakrishna Beach in the evening.
Pala Seshadri was getting ready for the evening program and he suddenly felt pain in his chest. He told his companions that he had started experiencing severe pain in his chest and seeing his deteriorating condition, his companions went to take him to Apollo Hospital. But on the way, he took his last breath and died.
The cause of his death was a heart attack. For his unfortunate death, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy showed his console to his family, friends, and close ones. The Chief Minister expressed his grief and shock at his sudden death. Biswa Bhusan Harichandan also expressed his grief and said that he will always be remembered for his services to TTD, where he was working since 1978.
