She collects the dolphins from the co-starring television show named Flipper, from where she gets three dolphins two females dolphins which were named Sissy and Pamela, the third one was a male dolphin who was known as peter. Her hard work pays off in 1964 when the Dolphinarium was fully functional. Margaret also believed that she will gain success when she successfully teaches dolphins how to make human-like sounds and speak. During the Project, she found the most difficult task teaching peter the m sound and pronouncing.

Although peter was also cooperating his sexual urges sometimes include rubbing himself with Mrs. Lovatt, which disturbed his learning process. She was also given the task of testing drugs like LSD on dolphins which shows no adverse results.

The worse part of the project was when the place where peter was kept was devoid of sunlight and space which was a huge problem for dolphins as they cannot breathe like a human which lead to peter ending his life by drowning in the water.
