As Coronavirus cases rise in China, more curbs and restrictions are imposed

The sour Coronavirus cases are rising in China once again the country reported over 1000 cases for the third straight day. This has triggered more codes and restrictions across the country.
China follows strict and disruptive measures to erase the spread of Coronavirus. The zero COVID policy has had a massive impact on the economy and has rattled financial markets.

This is after authorities reported COVID cases linked to the local pork supply chain. Many residents are also reporting food shortages. There are authorities have shut down stores across several cities in the country.
China’s zero COVID policy has drawn widespread criticism for controlling its citizens. Amid this, some allegations have come to light. Now, these allegations are centered around China’s mistreatment of Foreign Service offices.

These also include families of those assigned to the US embassy and consulates in China. US diplomats who claim that they went through abuse said that the US government let China impose inhuman practices on them.
Now they say that almost every diplomat arriving in China since 2020, was at risk. Many of them were locked up for weeks in ideal conditions. They claimed that the fever clinics were dirty and small. They were also not given soap, toilet paper towels, or even bottled water.
And many instances they were also denied emergency medical care. They were allegedly subjected to unnecessary tests. They were also forced to undergo months of quarantine and separation from their families.
They said that China violated the agreement with the US the agreement which said that China could impose 14 days of quarantine and conduct three tests on arriving diplomats.
However, this has not been the case. They claim that China altered the test results to control the lives of the diplomats and harass them. These diplomats have called for an investigation into the abuse of human rights by China.
