Israel’s Prez Isaac Herzog meets with Joe Biden, focusing on drone supplies to Russia
US President Joe Biden and Israeli President Isaac Herzog held talks focused on Iran. The leaders discussed Iran’s nuclear program and the accusations around its drone supply to Russia. Israel President Isaac Herzog said that both he and Biden would attend the cop 27 in Egypt next month.
Biden is also expected to attend the G-20. summit in November. Since taking office US President has sought to negotiate their rounds return to the Iran nuclear deal. But reports of Iran supplying drones to Russia have angered Biden. He says he wants to keep diplomacy aside for now.
The Israeli counterpart brought many issues around Iran to the meeting protests because masa mean his death was unexpectedly mentioned, and he discussed the government’s crackdown on protesters.
And amid this Biden has also said that Israel and Lebanon will sign a maritime deal to establish a permanent boundary. The US had a key role in negotiating the deal. The two leaders discussed the importance of de-escalating tensions in the West Bank. The US president also reaffirmed his commitment to Israel.
